This car has matching numbers as per the data card from Mercedes Benz. Chassis, Body, Engine and transmission. Rear
axle number cannot be read, but is date stamped 1960. Four of the five wheels are date stamped 1960 (one dated
1959). Metal that separates trunk from back seat is in excellent
condition. 3 inch hole in driver side wheel well-others appear fine. Appears (by viewing welds) passenger side
fender replaced at one time. Doors open/close perfectly (see pictures to see gaps). Minor body repair left side
rear quarter; small amount of Bondo at bottom of quarter. Trunk looks good as well as spare tire wells.
Mechanical: The car runs and goes into gear on lift. Also speedometer works on lift with car running and in gear.
Engine is very complete; carries 90# oil pressure when cold, 60# when hot. Solex carbs intact. Had no brakes when
purchased, but repaired a few leaks and bled system-now have a brake pedal. Wheels have NOT been pulled.
Cosmetic: Car was originally Fire Engine Red(code 534) from factory. Poor quality paint job currently in beige.
Some waves in fender; Needs windshield. Door panels and seats appear to be original, but I am not sure. The seats
have nails/staples and stuffing looks original. Car has jump seat with chaulk markings-appears to be original.
Most chrome is pitted and needs to be rechromed or replaced.
Miscellaneous: Entire dash is in very nice condition. The following all WORK: Headlights, tail lights, horn,
wipers, trunk lock, emergency brake, seat slides, one parking light, convertible frame in very nice shape, one tag
light, hood release, and the clock. Radio is there but do not know if it works. All knobs and handles on dash and
doors are complete. Nothing is missing and it even has the cigarette lighter. Steering wheel is in excellent
condition and locks with key. Windows roll up and down easily and have German glass in the doors.
